Glenn’s Service Centre came under the management of the Chaillon Automotive Group in January 2022, where Glenn Chaillon remains committed to providing quality workmanship and genuine customer service.
Chaillon Automotive Group is a locally owned and operated family business, originally established in 1968 by Jim Chaillon in Casey Street, Aitkenvale as Jim Chaillon’s Auto Service. Following his father’s footsteps into the trade, Glenn eventually bought the business and managed it for over 20 years at its original site.
In December 2022, the doors at Jim Chaillon’s Auto Service closed. This enabled Chaillon Automotive Group to bring their well-regarded team of mechanics across to their new venture at Glenn’s Service Centre in Gorari Street, Idalia.

Glenn’s Service Centre will inspect components, measure fluid levels and replace parts where necessary during our routine repairs and servicing of your vehicle, whatever the make or model. All servicing is carried out in line with the manufacturer’s specifications and we can even carry out logbook serving to maintain your vehicle’s warranty conditions.

I love the fact that Glenn, Lenny and the staff go out of thier way for you. Glenn most times is on the money with just a simple explanation of the problem, which shows his mechanical ability and knowledge. He will explain what the issue is, once properly diagnosed, how that particular part works and when plausible shows you the broken part and it’s working elements when replaced by the new part. Not too many mechanics are like that. He has a customer for life and do recommend that centre over anywhere in Town.
Hey Glenn, You asked me one day about where I was getting my car serviced … and if I could feel any difference in the way my car ran after the service. I said “No”. Yesterday, when I picked up my XTrail it felt like a new car. It cost me a few bob, but it’s right now! I’ll be back.

Can you service my vehicle while under new car warranty?
Yes, your vehicle or car can be serviced by us while under the manufacturer’s new car warranty.
How often should I change my engine oil?
This generally depends on the make and model of your car. Some manufacturers advise engine oil to be changed at 5,000km while others recommend 10,000km. What we suggest is your engine oil and filter be renewed every six to eight months at not more than 10,000km.
Do you do wheel alignments?
Yes, we conduct two-wheel and four-wheel alignments. We recommend that a wheel alignment be carried out when renewing your tyres.
How regularly should I change my engine coolant?
Here, at Glenn’s Service Centre, we use a long-life engine coolant, which has a specified service interval of four years/250,000km. It is recommended your cooling system be flushed and coolant renewed when your cooling system requires repairs as different coolants should never be mixed.
How often does my brake fluid require changing?
It is recommended that brake fluid is changed every two years.
How often should I service my automatic transmission and power steering?
This varies depending on driving conditions, but our qualified staff recommend approximately every 30,000km to 40,000km.
